Platform Overview

Before jumping in, here is a quick map of how Torneos MVP is organized. Understanding this structure will make it much easier to navigate and configure the platform.

The main building blocks

Account

The account is the base building block of the platform — your workspace. It is created automatically when you sign up, and it owns everything you organize: tournaments, rankings, players, coaches, referees, clubs, members, validations, and categories. An account can represent one person or an organization.

A single user can belong to several accounts (for example, if you collaborate with different clubs) and switch between them with the selector in the top navigation.

Community

A community is an optional, premium layer on top of an account. It is a portal with its own branding (logo, colors, and custom domain) that gathers and shows only the tournaments of its member accounts, isolated from the rest of the platform. Not every account has a community — a premium account is required to create one.

Communities can relate to other affiliated organizations — for example, a federation that brings together its clubs. (The exact behavior depends on how each relationship is configured.)

Tournament

A tournament belongs to an account. It has a name, a date range, and one or more categories (called Valids). Each category has its own registrations, bracket, and results.

Ranking

A ranking is a standing table of your account. Rankings update automatically as tournament results come in. A ranking can have multiple modalities (e.g., Singles U14, Doubles Open) that track different groups of players independently.
