Finishing Matches and Recording Results
When a match is over, it must be marked as finished so the bracket advances and results are recorded. This can be done by the assigned referee (from the referee panel) or by an operator from the live control panel.
Finishing a match from the live panel
- Open the Live Control panel.
- Find the match on its court.
- Click Finish match.
- Select the end reason:
| End reason | When to use |
|---|---|
| Normal | The match was played to completion with a clear winner |
| Walkover (WO) | One player did not show up or could not continue |
| Disqualification | A player was disqualified |
| Canceled | The match was canceled for another reason |
- Enter or confirm the final score.
- Confirm.
The bracket advances automatically:
- The winner moves to their next match.
- Group standings update if it was a group stage match.
- Linked rankings update with the new result.
Editing a match result
If a score was entered incorrectly, you can edit it:
- In the live panel, find the completed match.
- Click Edit result or the edit icon on the match.
- Correct the score or end reason.
- Save.
Important: Editing a result after it has been entered may affect bracket advancement and rankings. Review the impact before saving the correction, especially if subsequent matches have already been played.
Match history
All match results are stored permanently. Players and spectators can view:
- Score by set/period
- End reason
- Referee who officiated
- Date and time
This information is accessible from the public tournament bracket page and the player's profile.
