Doubles Pairs and Teams

For doubles and team competitions, players must be grouped before they can register for the relevant tournament categories.

Doubles pairs

A doubles pair is a fixed combination of two players that competes together in doubles categories.

Creating a doubles pair

  1. Go to Dashboard → Doubles (Parejas).
  2. Click Create pair or the + button.
  3. Search for and select the first player.
  4. Search for and select the second player.
  5. Optionally add a pair name or identifier.
  6. Save.

The pair now appears as an entity that can be registered for doubles categories in tournaments.

Registering a doubles pair in a tournament

When a doubles category (Valid) has open registrations:

  1. Go to the tournament's registration page.
  2. The doubles pair will appear as a registration candidate (instead of individual players).
  3. Register the pair as you would a single player.

Doubles pairs in rankings

Doubles pairs can appear in ranking modalities configured for the Doubles modality. Each pair accumulates points together.

Teams

A team is a group of players (more than two) that competes as a unit in team-format categories.

Creating a team

  1. Go to Dashboard → Teams (Equipos).
  2. Click Create team or the + button.
  3. Give the team a name.
  4. Add team members by searching for and selecting players from your People directory.
  5. Set the team size (number of active players per match, depending on the sport).
  6. Save.

Managing team members

You can add or remove members from a team at any time before the team competes:

  1. Open the team in Dashboard → Teams.
  2. Click Edit or the team name.
  3. Add or remove players as needed.
  4. Save.

Note: Changing team members after a team has already played in a tournament may affect results or eligibility depending on your tournament rules.

Registering a team in a tournament

Teams register for team-format categories the same way individual players do:

  1. Open the tournament's registration page.
  2. Select the team from the registration candidates.
  3. Confirm.
