Managing Coaches

Coaches are associated with players and can be registered in the community's People directory. Tracking coaches allows you to see which players are being coached by whom and include coaches in events that have coach-specific categories.

Adding a coach​

  1. Go to Dashboard → People (Personas).
  2. Click Add person or the + button.
  3. Select Coach as the person type.
  4. Fill in:
    • First name and Last name
    • DNI / ID number (recommended)
    • Birthday
    • Gender
    • Coach type — the type or specialization of coaching (the available types depend on your community's configuration)
    • Club — club affiliation (optional)
    • Email and Phone (optional)
    • Profile photo (optional)
  5. Click Save.

Assigning a coach to a player​

A coach is assigned from the player's profile, not from the coach's profile:

  1. Go to the player's profile in Dashboard → People.
  2. Find the Coach field.
  3. Search for and select the coach.
  4. Save.

A coach can be assigned to multiple players simultaneously.

Coach types​

Coach types classify the level or specialization of a coach (e.g., head coach, fitness coach, technical coach). The specific types available are configured by your community administrator.

Coaches in tournament categories​

Some tournaments may have coach categories — competition categories specifically for coaches. These work the same way as player categories — coaches register and compete just like players in those specific categories.
