Managing Registrations

Registrations (also called inscriptions) control how players sign up for a tournament category. You can open online self-registration, require manual approval, or add players yourself.

Opening registrations for a category

1. Open your tournament and go to Registrations (Inscripciones) in the side navigation.
2. Select the category (Valid) you want to open registrations for.
3. Click Create registration period or New inscription.
4. Configure:

Setting	Description
Start date	When registration opens
End date	When registration closes
Self-registration	Enable if players can register themselves using a public link
Approval required	If enabled, each registration must be manually approved. If disabled, registrations are accepted automatically.
Custom form fields	Optional extra fields to collect from registrants (e.g., club, skill level, club license number)
Terms and rules URL	A link to any rules or terms participants must accept before registering

5. Save.

Registration statuses

Status	Meaning
Pending Approval	Registration submitted, waiting for organizer review
Approved	Registration accepted — player is confirmed
Rejected	Registration declined
Direct Qualified	Placed directly by the organizer without registering
Added	Manually inserted by an organizer after the period closed
Removed	Removed from the registration list

Approving or rejecting registrations

If Approval required is enabled:

1. Go to Registrations in the tournament dashboard.
2. The list shows all pending registrations.
3. For each registration, click Approve or Reject.
4. Approved players move to the confirmed list.
5. You can perform bulk actions — approve or reject multiple registrations at once.

Adding players manually

Organizers can always add players directly, regardless of whether self-registration is open:

1. In the registrations panel, click Add manually or the + button.
2. Search for the player in your community's People directory.
3. Select them and confirm.

Note: To add a player who is not yet in your People directory, first add them as a person, then return here to register them.

Sharing the registration link

1. From the registrations panel, click Copy link or Download QR code.
2. Share the link via WhatsApp, email, or any other channel.
3. Players who open the link can register directly (if self-registration is enabled and the period is open).

The platform also shows a countdown banner on the public registration page, automatically showing how much time remains before registration closes.

Setting player seeds before the draw

Before generating the bracket, you can assign seed positions to registered players:

1. Open the confirmed registrations list.
2. Drag players to reorder them, or manually enter their seed number.
3. Seeded players will be placed in the bracket to avoid meeting each other in early rounds.
4. Use Reset seeding to clear all positions and start over.

Capacity limits and waitlists

Likely behavior: The platform supports capacity limits per category — once the limit is reached, additional registrations may go to a waitlist. Confirm this behavior with your platform administrator.
